frameworks for design with depth

The more I listen to and read about designers talk about design as a process, the clearer it is to me that we work best from frameworks – the bigger perspectives and patterns. Having more frameworks (by that I mean theories grounded in truth/evidence) to draw on, gives you more edge and depth as a designer. Certainly worth the study and challenging yourself to mix it up with design approaches.
